Aubergines are at their best when grown in warm, sunny climates, and during the cooler months, we source them from growers across the EU to ensure the best quality and flavour. With their glossy purple skin and soft, creamy flesh, they’re a kitchen staple that can bring richness and depth to all kinds of dishes.


Cooking Tips:

  • Roast or Grill – Slice, brush with olive oil, and cook until golden and tender for a smoky, caramelised flavour.
  • Classic Comforts – Perfect for Mediterranean favourits like ratatouille, moussaka, or baba ganoush.
  • Quick & Easy – Dice and stir-fry with garlic, tomatoes, and herbs for a simple but delicious pasta topping.
  • No Need to Salt – Older varieties were bitter and needed salting before cooking, but most modern aubergines are naturally mild.
